Site-specific performance installation for
2 dancers and one actor, Samuel Beckett's piece PLAY and the color Red.

Becketts piece PLAY can be decribed as the sum of all his theatre plays. It is a dead toolbox for theatre work and only shows the most common denominator, these elements that you can find in every theatre piece. The absolut outward.

This work is about what Beckett is not showing in the piece PLAY. What happens underneath the surface. The impulses and desires, that only reach surface in fractions. An inner dialog with ourselves and our memories.

Becketts Stück PLAY kann als die Summe aller Bühnenwerke verstanden werden. Es ist ein toter Werkzeugkasten der Bühne und zeigt nur noch den gemeinsamsten Nenner, die Elemente, die jedem Stück inhärent sind. Das totale Äußere.

In dieser Arbeit geht es um das, was bei Beckett nicht gezeigt wird. Das was unter der Oberfläche passiert. Die Impulse und Bedürfnisse, die bloß zu einem Bruchteil an dieser Oberfläche ankommen. Ein innerer Dialog mit sich selbst und seinen Erinnerungen.
